It combines the robust construction of a standard rockwool sandwich panel with the sound-absorbing functionality of an acoustic panel. The product features a dense rockwool core, skinned on one side with a perforated metal sheet (typically pre-painted steel or aluminum) and on the other side with a standard, non-perforated metal sheet. This design allows the panel to function as an excellent thermal and fire barrier while its perforated face acts as a broadband sound absorber, effectively reducing reverberant noise from both indoor and outdoor sources.
