For air filters, the most important core components are the strainer and the motor. Today our topic is one of the filters. There are many kinds of filters for air filters, among which the activated carbon net, HEPA net, photocatalyst net and the recently released HEPA filter paper + activated carbon layer net.
Activated carbon network
In general, the activated carbon filter is based on the fiber filter layer, the activated carbon layer is added, and the single-effect filtration is upgraded to double-effect filtration. The fiber filter layer filters impurities such as smoke and pollen in the air, and the activated carbon layer adsorbs harmful gases such as formaldehyde to achieve double-effect filtration.
Advantages: double filtration, moisture proof, odor removal.
Disadvantages: The air volume is relatively small and cannot filter PM2.5 fine particles.
2.HEPA network
As you can see from the name, this is a composite filter that uses two filters, HEPA filter paper and activated carbon, for double-effect filtration. The air enters the HEPA filter paper to filter the particulate matter, removes the PM2.5, and then adsorbs the harmful gas through the adsorption of the activated carbon layer. Finally, the clean air is sent out by the air filter, and the indoor air is clean and fresh.
Advantages: Multi-effect filtration effect, PM2.5 and harmful gases can be effectively removed.
Disadvantages: need to be replaced regularly, which requires a certain maintenance cost.
